Airdrum raptured slightly relating E N T

Asked for Male, 57 Years

I got a strong sneeze and my ear drum got a small repture. I consulted the nearst ENT who, after examining, gave me antibiotic tablet Cefpodoxime and some anti-histamine tablet for five days. He said that it will take time but the rapture will be filled by itself. After five days, I have no relief. From my right ear, which got raptured, I cannot hear low frequency sounds. this causes a humming sound in the left ear. I can hear with both ears but low frequencies are not heard on the raptured one.

Healing of a ruptured tympanic membrane is a slow process and may take upto 4 to 6 weeks to heal. In the meantime the said symptoms will be there.. Please ensure that there is no water entry in to the ear and also avoid getting cold and nasal block.
