Age 81 intestinal obstruction
My father aged 81 years is not able to pass stool from 27/04/2017. X ray and ct scan show intestinal obstruction at the end of small intestine and colon. Can colonoscopy remove obstruction or open surgery is only solution. He had similar problems before but got relief in five to ten days.

First we have to find out the cause of intestinal obstruction.
Then we can decide treatment
If it's obstruction due to tumour mass or stricture it will require surgery.
If it's due to electrolyte imbalance medical treatment is required.
