Ice is not needed. Crocin for fever and body pain. Vitamin C and zinc tablets can be taken after vaccination, with crocin. If you have symptoms, you should stay away for 7 days. 2 - 3 days is not sufficient(no scientific logic) as the incubation period is upto 7 days.
