Addicted to Tab.Ultracet and Tab.Tydol
Dear Sir/ Madam My WifeStarted taking Tab. Ultracet and Tab.Tydol for Severe Pain control after Fracture thigh. Even after Fracture healing ..She continues to take above medicines which she says she can't stop now as it gives her peace of mind.She tried stopping but failed to hold . She is working  in a PR agency... Please advise how to stop and any anti addiction medicine.. Thanks Regards Ramakrishnan

Hello. Ultraset table has a opioid analgesic in it which is addictive same for tydol tablet. Features suggestive of opioid dependence syndrome present. Kindly consult a psychiatrist for the same.

Hello Friend, Good that you are seeking a help here. It may be due to the withdrawal reactions of long-term usage. Need to understand what symptoms she goes through if stopped like restlessness, nausea, sweating etc. Also it good to understand if she is going through any stress or depression, as this medicine must be  giving stress relief all the while. Better get her consult with a psychologists to understand if any emotional issues and also the ways to handle the withdrawal reaction.
