Acute Pyelonephritis, UTI
Hello, my mom was diagnosed with Acute Pyelonephritis and UTI about 10 days ago. She was suffering from high fever and vomiting since 15th July. We visited a doctor in Medanta, Gurgaon. Now she is on medication of MARTIFUR, MONOCEF and some other medicines listed in attached medical report. She constantly is having nausea and vomiting. Is it normal for these medications? Is there anything else we should take care of. Please suggest.

Hi.... Urinary tract infections can be painful, but you can take steps to ease your discomfort until antibiotics treat the infection. Follow these tips:
Drink plenty of water. Water helps to dilute your urine and flush out bacteria.
Avoid drinks that may irritate your bladder.Avoid coffee, alcohol, and soft drinks containing citrus juices or caffeine until your infection has cleared. They can irritate your bladder and tend to aggravate your frequent or urgent need to urinate
