My 23 month old boy has been suffering from very acute constipation. He is always constipated and passes stools every 3-5 days. During passing he cries his lungs out out of fear and constipation and few times there has been some bleeding as well. We are giving him duphalac 5ml twice daily for the past week, since it seems to have increased.he drinks around half litre of water every day..Refuses to drink more. What should i do?

You can increase dose of duphalac to 10ml and increase solid diet for him. Avoid more than milk 2 cups of milk and wait for him to regularise his stool. Too hard means you can use glycerine suppossitory
