Acne and pigmentation
This is in terms of diet for acne. I would like to know if drinking black coffee affects acne. Or in other words, does it increase if I have black coffee. I have been reading articles over the Internet but seems confusing due to different opinions. Some say it is bad whereas some says it prevents. I'm use to having two cups a day but now have stopped owing to this confusion. Kindly help. Also let me know if other beverages like tea's effect on the same.

Hello there...I can understand your concern. Diet rich in oil can affect your acne. But it won't play a major role. Black coffee won't affect much. Hormonal imbalance, infection can also increase acne. There are various modes of treating acne from topical clindamycin, tretinoin, adaplene, benzyl peroxide creams to oral medications like azithromycin, doxycycline, isotretinoin. Treatment will depend on the grade of acne. Consult a dermatologist. They will be examine you and start on necessary treatment according to grade of acne.
