Hello to my Respected Doctor,
After Consulting a well know Dr, he advised my father to go ACL reconstruction surgery with Modern method - QUADRICEPS Ligament Surgery (with Internal Bracing) inspite of Traditional- Hamstring Method.
I am here to have your valuable opinion if that true and which ACL method will be best for my father to have this operated according to you ?
Looking forward to hear your valuable suggestions.
Thank you!

Acl surgery at age of 60 has no much benefit if the activity level is low. Bu this age he might have OA already. And thus a candidate for knee replacement.

Hamstring is the classic method but since your father is 60 years old, quadriceps graft will give a predictable graft size. Considering his age I would advice to get a weigh bearing x ray scannogram to check his limb alignment. If there is any alignment issues osteotomy can be considered instead of acl reconstruction.
