Hello There. Its unfortunate that you are suffering from such an issue from so long. first of all, its necessary to find the cause of the hyperacidity. certain foods and a certain type of lifestyle is more prone for acidity. identify those foods and avoid them all together. avoid oily and spicy foods, stay away from chillies and other types of masalas. avoid fried foods. inculcate the habit of doing yoga and meditation as they help in coping up with stress. tab. Rantac OD 300 once or twice a day half an hour before food can be continued for 10 days. i wouldn't suggest you to continue it for more than 10-15 days because acid suppression for long durations can cause a lot of nutritional deficiencies like iron deficiency in particular. avoid tea/coffee and other carbonated beverages and other things like tobacco and alcohol. get a endoscopy done. avoid having heavy meals, have smaller meals and avoid sleeping immediately after food. sleep with a elevated head. drink lots of water. revert with reports and also take a gastroenterologist's opinion if it still doesn't subside. Best Regards, Dr. Anil Kumar Jain

If you have acidity, it should respond to medicines for sure. If not , you should undergo some special investigations . Since you haven't elaborated the treatment details, it is difficult to discuss further.
