Acidity and uneasiness in diabetes
My father is a diabetes patient and needs insulin injections. Blood sugar has been fluctuating a lot in last few days. Since 24 hours, he has been feeling acidity-related uneasiness, and also struggling to sleep. What would be the best course of action in this? Any medication/course that needs to be attempted? Requesting some assistance in this.

Hi! As the duration of diabetes increases the pancreas tends to lose ability to secrete insulin and glucagon both and hence slight change in diet/ dose of insulin leads to highs and lows of sugars. Also age of patient along with presence of other conditions like kidney disorder/ liver disease impacts the management. Acidity can be because of diabetes medication. Sleep has to be restored The best is to keep sugars in moderate zone rather than trying to control stringently.
