Accu check needle scratched my finger
My father 57 years old and while checking his sugar level and removing needle accidentally it scratched my finger and started bleeding mildly and I m non diabetic and breast feeding 4 months old baby. Does it cause any harm? What should be done for prevention??

Check ur father hiv, hepatitis b , c If not tested recently Then we can decide post exposure prophylaxis

No need to worry in point of diabetes, only case to worry is an unknown person whose hiv status is unknown. In case of diabetes even if u r breast feeding as long as the wound is healthy and non infected need not worry
