About thyroid
I'm 32 years. I have been detected with thyroid 3 years back when I have conceived. But I had miscarriage of that pregnancy within 8 weeks. Later till today I'm doing quarterly thyroid test. And taking medicines. Doctor keeps on changing the power of medicines depending on the test results. But since 1 month I'm facing heavy hair fall. I have never experienced such intense hair fall in last 3 years. Is it happening due to thyroid? What should be done if it's happening due to thyroid? I am yet to do my thyroid test of this quarter. But I'm super worried about my hair fall. Also I need to know does thyroid affects on pregnancy? Or occurs difficulties to conceive? I'm planning for a baby since 5 months. But not able to see the positive results.

The thyroid makes hormones that help your body work. If it makes too little or too much of these hormones, you may have problems during pregnancy. Untreated thyroid conditions during pregnancy are linked to serious problems, including premature birth, miscarriage and stillbirth. If your thyroid condition is treated during pregnancy, you can have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Severe and prolonged hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism can cause loss of hair. The loss is diffuse and involves the entire scalp rather than discrete areas. The hair appears uniformly sparse. Regrowth is usual with successful treatment of the thyroid disorder, though it will take several months and may be incomplete.
