Autism is a neurodevelopmental issue. So there is a difference in which these kids perceive the world and they have different ways of learning. The way to help is to do a proper assessment and early intervention with therapies aimed at teaching them skills. Please meet a developmental pediatrician and get assessment and information about it.
Next Steps
Consult a Developmental pediatrician.

Autism usually needs a developmental pediatrician for counseling and guidance. It is a combined effort of both parents and doctors. Medicine are secondary treatment only. So my advice is to consult the specialist, the developmental pediatrician and delay starting medications till then

Hi.. autism is a problem which is manageable with proper care and management techniques.. The best approach is -- First see a specialist - behavioural disorders and developmental pediatricians are there depending on where you stay... if not seen on google clearly, can see a pediatric neurologist and aks them about where you can see above doctor Second - I think ABA therapy would help.. that's domain of specialists.. Medications take a second place..
