About dogs in high rise apartments
Please help with advantages and disadvantages of having a golden retriever dog in a high rise apartment in India. Pup is now 4 months old. We have planned for indoor potty inside one of the 2 bathrooms until potty training outside. But staying in a place with more rains throughout the year and no access to park immediately near the house, should we plan to have a permanent potty place somewhere in the house?  We do plan to take him for walks but it might not sync with his potty schedule. Also with easy access inside the house, our pup uses the potty by himself independently and with access 24x7, he pees frequently. He goes whenever he wants to without waiting for us. Is this an advantage or disadvantage?

Having a potty place and him being able to use it independently and whenever is a good thing. But golden retrievers are energy packed and need a lot of mental stimulation in the up-coming “teenage months” , he will bite everything and anything that comes in the way. You’ll have to ensure sufficient exercise and playtime for him to not indulge in biting and chewing wood/furniture.
Health Tips
Keep small things, pointed things and any potential toxic material(medicine, needles, wrappers, chocolates and grapes) etc out of reach.

Having a potty place permanently in the house is good. But the disadvantage is the slippery floor,  lack of sunlight, and outdoor exercise.
