Abnormally high c reactive protein
My 8 months old baby had fwver since past 4days but has reduced when we gave her cefixime foe 3 da ys.. . Today no fever but when blood tests were taken today it showed c reactive protein as 95.. My baby haa been active thoroughout and is feeding too... Can the c reactive show that high even if there is no fever.. Should we start iv antibiotics for her. Or redo the tests

CRP just indicates ongoing inflammation,will rise in any infection,continue meds for 5 days. Baby's general condition is a good indication of effective treatment.
