Abnormal stool?

I’ve been constipated for a few weeks, passing only small hard stool. Today I had a some prune juice and passed a normal stool but noticed there was something that looked like string coming out of it. What is this?

Hi you have constipated since a few weeks and passing a hard stool in less quantities I understand . What you just saw with stool could be a mucus and that’s normal. I wanna know if you had any accompanying diarrhoea before the constipation started ?
