You can opt for slow weaning which means you can decrease the number of feeds your child receives gradually over next 2weeks or so. This will allow gradual reduction in milk production. You can also opt for expressing a little milk using a breast pump or manually , just enough to relieve the engorged or heavy feeling. Gradually the milk production will subside. For any pain or discomfort related to heavyness you can use pain meds or cold compression.
Next Steps
in case you have severe pain , hard , shiny lump or hot tender lumps then you should consult a doctor.
Health Tips
whatever option you use understand it is a gradual process and slowly breast milk will subside.

It's better to slowly stopping than abruptly ending your feeding to the baby. You can often develop lumps in breast, pain, tenderness and severe cases abscess when you abruptly stop. If you develop lumps, try expressing your milk and feeding it via bottle or spoon to the baby
Next Steps
keeping warmth like warm water bags on your breasts can reduce the pain you feel. you can also take Paracetamol.
Health Tips
Please show a gynecologist if there is severe pain
