Abdominal tb
My sister was diagnosed for abdominal tb. She is on ATT for more than a month. She took AKT 2 initially. Everything went well. Then before 7 days doctor changed to R cinex (450+300). From the second day she started developing itching, leg pain and vomiting. So two days ago, we asked our doctor and he told to change back to AKT 2. Today itching reduced but still has vomiting. Please clarify the following two things. Thanks in advance. 1.Does R cinex have more side effects than AKT 2 though they're from same manufacturer? 2.Shall we give Domstal before food for vomiting?

Side effects are present for both medications. She should not skip meals and should have food that she can tolerate. Anti emetic can be given so as to reduce the vomiting but she should have proper hydration to replace the loss of water in the body. You should give her ORS and continue the medications.
