A small duodenal polyp

Recently i have done an endoscopy and my doctor found one small duodenal polyp. He said its nothing to worry and no treatment is required. He also said i can do an endoscopy after 3 years if i have any problem. I read over internet that this polyp can become cancer later. I m scared . What are the chances that i will get cancer from it? I have gastritis.

Hello....... Usually these polyps do not carry arisk of developing into cancer. However, large hyperplastic polyps, especially on the right side of the colon, are of concern and should be completely removed. What kind of poly it's?? If size of poly is greater greater the chance of cancer....
