A dry throat with type a flu
I have type A flu, I was diagnosed yesterday afternoon around 3:00 pm. I am on tamiflu, but I was wondering how long will this terribly dry throat go on? It is the worst thing that I have ever expirenced, my mouth is fine, but then it cuts off at the beginning of my throat. My voice comes out as a croak and it’s judt awful. When will this dry throat go away? I don’t mind any of the other symptoms but this dry throat is just awful.

Hello
This throat irritation will take a day or two to go. For viral illness like this it is better if you take lots of water to drink. Luke warm water will be better and will give a soothing effect . In addition you can do saline gargles ie Luke warm water with table salt , twice a day.
Eat soft diet and take rest
