Hello, I understand your concern
Every Baby Develops Differently. Milestones have a wide normal range. Some babies crawl or speak later than others. However, we keep a close watch to identify early signs of delay and support development early.
A formal developmental screening is advised.
Referral to a Developmental Pediatrician or Early Intervention Program may be helpful to assess motor, language, and sensory development.
Next Steps
Encourage tummy time frequently to build upper body strength. Let her play on the floor with toys to encourage reaching, mouthing, and crawling.
Use rattles, mirrors, and toys that respond to sound/light to promote babbling and attention.
Sit her with pillows around and gradually reduce support to improve balance and trunk control.
Talk, sing, and read to your baby every day.
Respond to her sounds – this helps her learn to communicate.
Use simple repetitive words like “mama,” “dada,” “ball,” etc.
Health Tips
If by 9–10 months she still does not sit without support, doesn’t babble, or shows floppiness/stiffness, further evaluation and therapy will be needed.

It's good that your 8-month-old is smiling, reacting to her name, and making noises. However, the limited tummy-to-back rolling, not putting objects in her mouth, only sitting with support for short periods, and lack of crawling are developmental concerns. It's important to consult with your pediatrician for a proper evaluation and guidance.
