8.5 month old is not drinking milk
My 8.5 month old daughter has significantly dropped her milk intake. I am barely able to feed her 400 mL that too by putting in her purées etc. I give her sips of water or ORS but she doesn't like that too much as well... the only time she feeds well is when I feed her in the middle of the night. She takes solids 3 -4 times a day which she takes better than milk. She was 2.5 kg at birth and at her 8.5 month check up she was 7 kg. I am worried her weight gain has slowed down and at this rate, she might stop taking g milk completely. She has had a cold since a few days now. She has runny nose and some coughing.

Low milk intake can be due to many reasons like gum tightening/teething, blocked nose, chest congestion. Weight of 7 kg is around 3rd-5th centile , which is low .
Next Steps
Get the baby examined by nearby pediatrician and monitor the weight closely.
Health Tips
Monitor the urine output , it should be more than 6 times in 24 hrs

Temporary feeding aversion is likely due to her cold. Nasal congestion often makes sucking uncomfortable. 400 mL of milk is at the lower acceptable limit but can be acceptable if she's getting adequate solids and hydration. Night feeding being easier is also typical during illnesses. Weight gain is actually on track—tripling birth weight by 1 year is expected, and she's already close. Recommendations: 1. Relieve nasal congestion – saline nasal drops before feeds, upright position. 2. Keep offering small, frequent feeds – don’t force milk, mix into cereals, porridges, etc. 3. Hydration – continue offering sips of water; flavored fluids like vegetable soups can help. 4. Monitor weight and urine output – if weight gain stagnates, consult pediatrician.
