7mo baby strains and cries while pooping
Hi doctor
My 7mo baby boy puts lots of pressure and cries alot while passing stool. stool is not runny or pasty in texture. please see attached picture for texture.
He poops once daily.
is it normal or can it be due to constipation?
what food should be avoided and what can be given for soft stool??
current weight : 7.65 kgs
birth weight: 3.4 kgs
Note : I consulted a paediatrician in person today and she told crying while passing stool is normal.

As per picture stool looks hard that's why baby is crying while passing motion.
Few things to do
1. Avoid using cow's milk for drinking.
2. Since baby is around 7 months u can start
some cereals like daal rice, porridges etc
3. Add a fruit like ripe banana & papaya in
baby's daily diet
