5 month old not taking feed from past 2
Hello docy, Pls advice ,one. Doctor suggested egaliv to my son who is 5 month old. I started giving him egaliv  3 times  a day as per his instructions gave him doctor is not available due to Cornoa. And my son is neither BM nor bf from past two days. Seek advice n I can see he has lost weight as his feed is less from past 1 week.

Hello. Ayurvedic preps arnt indicated to children as old as your son. Im sure they might just not be harmful but would not recommend it. You need to provide exclusive breast feed, if the child is not taking breast feed, please express breast feed and kive him by katori spoon. Burp the child appropriately(10 mins post all feeds)

Till 6 months of age, baby should get exclusive breast feeding. If mother has no enough milk then neesd to give formula feed along with vitamin supplements. Egaliv is ayurvedic appetizer, not a active metabolic agent for body growth. Body needs adequate proteins, carbohydrates, fats for growth. So after 6 needs to start complement feeding as dal rice paste, meshed banana, meshed potato etc. Giving vitamin supplement and treating iron deficiency is also helpful in improving appetite and stimulate growth.
