4months and 23 days old girl baby
My baby has severe constipation and she tries to make potty and cry always from past 15 days and if v keep beetle leaf stem she passes and relax and now daily twice she is doing the said thing and always v hv to keep beetle stem to pass poo otherwise she cries on high pitch even after giving colicaid drops and I m everytime scared to keep beetle leaf stem as it may cause any harm to baby so n kindly suggest what to do to make poo on her own and is it a serious issue for my baby???

normally hardness of the stool is not seen when you are giving only breastfeeding to the child. it is advisable to continue only breastfeeding and nothing else till completion of 6 months of age. if still the hard stool continues you have to visit the doctor to find the cause. but if you are giving formula milk then there is a possibility that the milk is not properly digested by the child and you will have to change the brand of formula milk. also do not give any food to the child except milk at this age.
