4 weeks old baby not pooping
My baby is 4 weeks old and is not pooping everyday. He is being exclusively breastfed and poops only 2-3 days. Is it normal? His paediatrician has prescribed carmopeptin drops of 1ml everyday to help with this issue . Can I start giving it ? Or should I wait?

Newborn babies can poop up to 20 times a day or they can stay happy without pooping for even 5 days. As long as baby is passing urine 6-8 times a day, gaining weight and not having any symptoms like arching the back, being fussy and irritable, straining, there is no need to worry.
