My 3 month old baby is not staying upright burping position. She is arching back and crying. She is not even sitting. Is this normal? Is there any other way to perform burping?

He is doing that because there might be gaseous distension if stomach. If he not staying upright in your shoulder, you can make him lie on your lap and pat on the back. You can try this position. If there is excessive cry, you can give espumisan drops 5 drops stat. If any further concern kindly book an online consultation with me. Take care!

That may be due Gas formation. Practice tummy time, burping after feeds. Don't make your child sit as 3 months of age is very early for that. For any queries, book an online consultation with me. I am a lactation consultant, IYCF (Infant and Young Child Feeding) nutrition expert with an interest in Childhood Infections and Vaccinations. Take care!
