I had a fetal 2d scan at 27 weeks tat showed thickend ventricular walls and slight deviation to the left. At 32 weeks we repeated the 2d echo and although everything else is normal, a mild cardiomegaly still exists.. I have consulted multiple doctors(pediatric cardiologist) and everyone says once the baby is born a 2d echo will need to be repeated.. Should i be concerned? The thickend muscles are 4.7 mm and 4.9 mm each for RV and LV respectively. Will there be any serious heart trouble for the baby? What precautions should I take so that baby is safe..
All the other functioning of the heart appears normal.. There is no fluid accumulation too.
