High hemoglobin is called as polycythemia. Most commonly seen in smokers and those living in high altitude like hill stations. Rarely blood cancers can present with raised Hb levels in initial stages. In your cases, except borderline high Hb, other RBC indices are normal. Need more history and need to check if there is clubbing of fingers. Better get serum erythropoietin levels to rule out rare cases.
