Seriously who told spine fracture if ortho guy just follow what ever he says rest is most important . For pain consult to increase the dose of painkiller
Don't stand and bear weight your first doctor knows best do what he says
Spine fracture causing pain in the back mainly due to instability..it needs to be fixed if there is continuous unbearable pain..if it is single level undisplaced fracture it can be fixed with day care procedures like balloon kyphoplasty..so upload all your scan images in private consulting area- I will suggest you accordingly
How many days old is the fracture? How did it occur? At your age it could be a pathological fracture secondary to osteoporosis. You can use a lumbo-Sacral support to help you. Please get your Dexa Scan done to see if there is significant osteoporosis. Obviously consulting an Orthopedic surgeon in person will be in your best interest.
