-First make his eatable plates/spoons colourful…can prefer cartoon ones -instead of routine menu keep on changing his menu -offer more foods of his choice -include carrot and beetroot in his diet -see that his diet consists of tuberous vegetables and greenleafy vegetables -you can try kichdi with different recipes

Baby at this age want to explore things so they are not ready to eat at meal times. They are more into play. Following tricks that may work: -dont keep a fixed meal time. Offer them when they want to eat. However when you prepare fresh, ask them twice, if not ready avoid it -present the food in a colourful manner ie different colour food items. Also can use red bowl, blue spoon etc so that they get attracted to it -allow them to play with food ie if they are putting food on the ground and eating it from them, allow them to some extent -dont create fuss related to meal time ie he is not eating at all. Child listens and understands that you are talking about him -make meal a play time so meal time becomes a fun time.
