Hi, Let is take this opportunity to understand your question. 1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla. This is power of magnets in MRI machine. It is obvious that 3 Tesla will have more power and better image quality. But then it also has to be noted that the operator or doctor who is operating the machine. It is similar to having 48MP camera and 20 MP camera. Professional photographer will capture better image with even 20 MP camera. Also even if you have 48 MP camera in your mobile you cannot compare it to DSLR camera. Because DSLR camera has many other attachments. Similarly in MRI there are many other attachments for better image quality. These are called coils. Now these coils can be 12 channel, 20 channel, 32 channel and so on. Very few centers will have brain coils with higher channels. Now if you want to get your MRI brain just for screening like for headache or giddiness get it done anywhere near you. But if you have chronic problem and have done MRI previously which was normal. Get your MRI done at well reputed center in your city
