Knee pain in left leg

I fell in a perpendicular direction last week and my ankle in left leg keeps on twisting and turning and I cannot climb up stairs or climb down stairs.

I have pain in the knee but only a little bit..  What should I do? Which test should I get done?

Hello madam due to injury there may be a ligament tear in your ankle that may cause instability or an fracture associated with it so better you consult a Physiotherapist who may examine and treat you If you have ligament issue if not then he may refer you other specialities till then You can apply ice packs 10 to 15 minutes 2 to 3 times a day and avoid putting weight on your affected leg if possible keep a pillow

Hi,Dr Kalpita Gandhi(Physiotherapist,mumbai- borivali) here.It may be ligament instability for your ankle and referred inappropriate weight bearing on your knee that gives you pain.conservative t/t is advised as for ankle strap followed by iciing twice a day and strengthening your ankle n knee muscles...see for a week if symptoms get worse get a ct done for ankle.
