Dr. Vikash Agarwal has joined the Apollo Hospitals enterprises group after a detailed interview with Dr. P.C. Reddy, chairman of the prestigious Apollo Group which changed the medical scenario in the Indian subcontinent. He was appointed as a full-time consultant in the department of neurology at the Apollo Specialty Hospital which also deals with neurosurgery and cancer care and treatment. He was working as a full-time independent consultant with daily OPD in neurology, inpatient care, and emergency room neurology calls which include acute stroke and epilepsy treatments. He was also in-charge of the neurophysiology laboratory in the hospital and report EEG-Nerve conduction studies and short-term video EEG monitoring for classification on a daily basis. He takes active participation in the academic programs for the DNB (Diploma National Board) postgraduates in neurosurgery at our hospital, discussing bedside clinical neurology and localization on a weekly basis. He has worked as assistant professor in neurology at Sri Ramachandra Medical Center, Chennai which is a renowned medical college and a 1000 bedded tertiary care center located in the Tamil Nadu state in South India. He was responsible for handling the overall working of the unit especially the neuro ICU including the stroke ICU including ward rounds and overseeing the daily management of all the admitted patients in the unit. Emergencies and inter-departmental referrals were handled on an on-call rotational basis. Outpatient consults and neurophysiology testings were done on an alternate day basis. In the neurophysiology lab, he reported electro-encephalograms, nerve conduction studies and performed electromyography testing. He also had teaching responsibilities in the institute for internal medicine and neurology residents. He was also actively involved in the daily academic sessions where the residents were taught various aspects of neurological diseases and their management.

My mom was suffering from severe leg pain along with swelling in hands. We have consulted with several doctors but everyone provided their own opinions which didn't yield any betterment of her health but only lead to prolonged sleepless nights. After seeing the reviews, I have decided to get the consultation from Dr.Vikash Agarwal.To be frank, we were not having much hope and only thought this visit also going to be one among what we had in history but what happened was completely different.Within short span of of time(I mean around 5 mins) he has identified the cause of my mother's leg pain as due to Restless leg syndrome (We never heard this word ever) and suggested to do some tests to understand the underlying problem which has caused this syndrome.The test results have clearly said she is having severe Rheumatoid Arthritis which requires to be cured to cure the RLS.He has suggested few neuro medicines to cure RLS and also suggested to meet the RA expert(Mr.Shanmuganandan) belongs to same hospital and we met him.By seeing the test results, he has carefully suggested the medicines considering the age of my mother.What a magic! within a week of time we have started seeing the results which we didn't see for years.Through their treatment, the pain my mother undergone for years has gone and we realized that many of the other problems like back pain, hand joint pains are related to RA which has got cured after the treatment.

I am following up with this doctor for the past 3.5 years for my son, who is now 10 Years old, he was identified as ADHD & Epileptic, and got a severe attack when he was at the age of 7, and hospitalized and treatment given by a different doctor and he recovered. For the subsequent visit, I consulted for the first time Dr.Vikas, where he advised to take a fresh EEG and prescribed drugs, after 4 - 6 visits in 8 months duration, the observed epileptic pattern differed and therefore we approached CMC-Vellore, where after fresh diagnosis, he was declared as non-epileptic. Later went to different top & specialized doctors at Salem, Trichy and back to chennai for another neurologist and undergone treatments for about 1.5years, found no improvements except worsening him more. Finally I came back to Dr.Vikas at his age 9 and Dr. Vikas asked to take a fresh MRI & EEG at Saravana Scans Nandhanam, with the help of this scan report, he started fresh treatment with new set of drugs and now my son is 10.5 years, he is recovering at a faster rate and I can say he is 80% normal, for full understandings about my son brain activity, and for revising drugs (if required), Dr.Vikas advised us to take 3-4 X 24Hrs VEEG, since the cost was too high for this, he recommended to take atleast overnight cum 24 Hrs VEEG, for further better treatment.

I visited Dr.Agarwal for my Wife headache issue, the issue was persistent for more than a year, multiple doctors were not able to diagnose properly therfore I was keep multiple docs including Siddha & AyurvedicAfter all the recommendations were failing, I just google for best Neurologist and made a choice for visiting Dr. Vikas and it's been one of the best choice I've made.🅿🆁🅾🆂* Good location, clinic is main road and Google maps points exact location.* waiting Area is clean & comfortable chairs* Receptionist is very responsive* Doctors listens to complete history and prescribes only required amount of medicines and even ask us to come after 10days and I'm writing this after my 2nd visit and now he asked us to come after 3months, he prescribes for what is required and medicines are easily available in any pharmacy, there is no tie up with any particular pharmacy which normally doc has, so getting the medicine easily available in medplus or Apollo makes life more easy* Doctor is ************* * very friendly, he assures the patient and gives them confidence everything will be alright and making the patience belive in the treatment is half battle won.* I recommend Dr. Vikas for neurology related issues🅲🅾🅽🆂* No car parking* Bike parking is also limited* 500 consultation fee is same for even 2nd visit, but again 500 is very affordable compared to his treatment, having said that we expect repeated visit to be slightly cheaper.RgdsMadhu
