Dr. Ganesan Vikkirapandyam Srinivasan

Dr. V. S. Ganesan is a well-known and experienced diabetologist, metabolic medicine specialist and consultant physician with more than four decades of experience in treating patients. Dr. Ganesan has treated many patients and noted personalities during his long tenure as clinician. One of his greatest acclaims include, being on the medical team that had treated the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr. M. G. Ramachandran.He has over 40 years of experience as a clinical educator for under graduate and post graduate medical students both in Indian and Overseas Medical Universities.He has been associated with the beginning of the Diploma in Diabetology course at Madras Medical College. He has worked as Senior Lecturer in Medicine at the Oman Medical College, Oman. He has also been involved in training students for Membership exams of various Arab Medical Boards.Dr. Ganesan believes that communication, patient education and spreading awareness are equally important as medications in the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and metabolic diseases. Dr. V. S. Ganesan has a unique approach while treating patients, which is more of guidance than prescriptive orders. He treats patients by giving a clear explanation, to make them have a deeper understanding of the disease and involves them actively in managing their medical problems.
