Dr. Rukkayal Fathima

Dr. Rukkayal Fathima is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist practising in Chennai, with a clinical focus on fertility and reproductive medicine, high-risk obstetrics, and gynaecological and laparoscopic surgery. She is the Founder and Clinical Director of Yaal Fertility & Women’s Centre.She completed her M.B.B.S. at Chettinad Hospital & Research Institute, where she was Best Outgoing Student of her batch and received the Hobbart Medal and the Avvai Shanmugam Medal for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, along with the medal for topping the final M.B.B.S. examination. She completed her M.S. in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Institute of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Madras Medical College, in first class, receiving the Dr. Mira Sengupta Gold Medal, the Prof. Dharani Srinivas Gold Medal and Dr. R. H. Kulkarni’s Award. She obtained her MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK, in 2019, and subsequently trained in reproductive medicine at Kiel, Germany. She is a member of ESHRE.She began her clinical career at Joseph Nursing Home, Chetpet, under Dr. Kurian Joseph, and later practised as a Consultant at Be Well Hospitals, T. Nagar.Her fertility practice covers evaluation and management of male and female infertility, ovulation induction, IUI, IVF, ICSI and fertility preservation. Her obstetric practice covers high-risk and complex pregnancies, including pregnancies conceived following fertility treatment.
