Dr. Rama Narasimhan

My wife Vandana was affected with Covid in the month of April 2021. We are from Tirupati and the local hospital referred us to Apollo as the severity was high. She got admitted on April 21st into Apollo ICU. Dr Rama Narasimhan was the head doctor assigned to my wife. I interacted with her every day while my wife was on complete ventilator for 12 days and in ICU for 18 days. Dr Rama was just God sent to us. In my discussions with her, she was very practical and positive in her communication. Her professionalism in handling more than 35 critical Covid patients at that time was just exceptional. One specific example I want to share here is that at the time when my wife was admitted, I have mentioned to Dr. Rama that she is a professional singer. After she was intubated for 6 days, Rama madam took the decision to go for an early tracheostomy to protect her vocal cords. This decision was a life changing moment for us as my wife after 30 days of her recovery was able to sing again. Forever we both are indebted to you Madam. Thank you so very much Rama Madam.

My experience with Dr. Rama is a very pleasant one. Her smiling way of welcoming Patients into her cabin itself takes away our pain & worries. Her key competence is her diagnosis of the problems Patients face. Further, she prescribes only needy medicines & avoid unnecessary tests & examinations. She is a great asset to Patients like me than to Apollo Hospital.

Had very bad experience with her. We had gone for my 2 years old daughter and 3 month old son's UK visa health check up. We had been waited about 2 to 3hours with two kids. They became restless. For 1 min check up, she made a scene and shouted at me as my daughter started to cry. No patience, no kindness towards patients atleast for kids. *** **** ********** Rude lady 😖😖

The doctor was not even ready to listen to my problems! She asked weather I have ever done a sinus ct scan or not. I said no. And they she said you need to do it right now then we’ll discuss. I was still trying to explain my problems but she got irritated and said why are you reluctant to do it?! I said I am not reluctant. I am just explaining my issues. I would never prefer her to anyone!

My experience with Dr. Rama has been wonderful. She has been attentive and shown genuine concern with helping in managing my asthma. She was more interested in ensuring that i manage my asthma long-term and even suggested alternative therapy as a long term solution for me. The wait-time and hospital experience is not something that's been pleasant, but it has always been worth the effort to meet with a good doctor.
