Dr. Raj Palaniappan is a very well known bariatric (obesity) surgeon from India with 19 years of experience and distinction of performing almost all types of laparoscopic surgeries described in world literature. Dr. Raj has achieved various milestones in his career being one of the in the world for SILS surgeries and has designed his own ergonomic modification for SILS port placement and designed various traction techniques for the same. He invented “Hiatal Sling” liver traction technique for laparoscopy & Single Incision surgery - Oct 2009 and "Rule of Hand" laparoscopic port placement technique in 2011. He is an Honorary Professor in Saveetha Medical University, Chennai and Examiner for Fellowship in IAGES and AMASI, India. He is also in the editorial board for international journal "World Journal of Laparoscopic Surgery" and is the founder Vice-president of International Association Robotic Surgeons.

I am a bus pass surgery patient of Apollo since April 2004. At the time of surgery projection in left side Punic region was noticed and Urologist Dr. Murali advised treatment for prostrate also later.
Since there was no big obstacle I and family members ignored the treatment for the prostrate and Hernia.yesterday urologist Explained the need to treat for the Prodtrste before Treatment of Hernia. Both Doctors discussed and decided to treat for the Prostrate just before hernia treatment for both sides and Bariatric treatment to safe guard the body from the after effects of long time Diabetes and other health problems taking into account my age of 75.

Almost 7 years suffering morbid obesity ,Last 2 years i asked many questions about my obesity problem by whatapp .Sir(Dr raj pallaniapan ) never fell bother and never give angry answer.
