I have been seeing Dr. Prathap Addageethala for early lumbar and cervical spondylosis along with a slipped disc, and my experience has been extremely positive.
He is very friendly, patient, and approachable, which immediately made me feel comfortable. He takes the time to explain everything in great detail—my condition, the treatment plan, and what to expect—so I always feel informed and confident about the process. Since starting the treatment, I have noticed a significant improvement in my pain and overall mobility, and I genuinely feel better with each session. His professionalism, knowledge, and caring attitude truly stand out.
I am very grateful for the treatment and would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with similar spine or joint issues.

I was struggling with my back from past 6 month.. I know I waited a long time which I regret when I visited Dr. Prathap. I would have been relieved from the pain and sufferings much earlier. The reason is that I didnot know him before. With the help of Practo finally I narrowed down my search and made the appointment.
When I visited him, he explained me the probabale cause of my discomfort and suggested me full spinal chord MRI.
As he suspected, It turned out to be disc bulging in the lower spinal chord (precisely in L4 and L5 region). According to Dr. Prathap my back was in bad condition which I could not agree more since I was not able to hold my self more than 10 minutes while walking and standing position. On top of that there were symptoms of my whole spine was too stiff.(common problem who sits in the offices for longer hours)
I have to tell you when I got my lower back spasm I was not able to get up for two days with the fact that I was an avid yoga practioner from the past 6 months. So anybody can get this I believe.
He suggested me to go with 20 sessions which involves chiropractic session of 15-20 minutes in the clinic and few exercises to do daily twice in home(not very intense but essential to make the strong lower back and pelvic area.It will not take more than 10-15 minutes)
The things which I liked about him is that he was friendly and convincing and he made me believe that current problem is mechanical and it will be corrected as it is. After suffering for so long time, you can understand how hard it would be to believe.
Anyway, earlier the sessions were thrice in week to make the recovery faster where he treated me with utmost care and immediately I felt the improvement. After 10 sessions I visited him once in week and after 15th sessions every alternate weeks. I could able to recover 60-80% in 10 sessions. I liked visiting the clinic and * **** *** **** *** ********* ****** I received in each session compelled me to visit the clinic for the next appointment.
Overall, with the suggested home exercises and chiropractic sessions in clinic, I can feel myself again 95% percent fit. I would not say 100% which would also a lot dependent on the home exercises and few tips he given to me while at work in the office.
I strongly recommend to consult Dr. Prathap when you are in such acute pain and you really want to come out of it without any complex medical treatment.
P.S. Take care of your spine! there is nothing more important than your spine which keeps you moving ahead ☺️.
Thanks doctor for pain relieveing sessions!😊

Shailendra
Visited For Back Pain TreatmentShoulder PainNeck Pain
I had been suffering from intense back, shoulder and neck pain for the last 10 months. I had trouble rotating and turning my neck, my left shoulder blade would sometimes become immobile and I would wake up with intense pain in my upper and middle back. These episodes were sporadic but would last for several weeks each time. I went to several physiotherapists - and underwent weeks of ultrasound therapy and TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation). I also applied heat packs multiple times a day to my back. The relief was always temporary and the pain would come back within a few weeks.
A friend who had gone through a similar issue recommended Dr Prathap. I was a little sceptical at first about going to a chiropractor, but the excellent reviews on Practo convinced me to give it a try.
There are a couple of things which are important to me when dealing with a medical issue/ a doctor:
- How knowledgeable is the doctor?
- Is he/she able to get to the root of the problem?
- Is he/she respectful of my time (I'm a busy professional and hate having to wait)?
- Does the doctor do a good job of explaining the problem and following up with the correct treatment?
Dr Prathap checked all these boxes. He is very well trained and is able to articulate the problem and the solution with ease. He was thorough in his investigation and only then proceeded to work on my back. He was professional and courteous throughout the session and made me feel comfortable. The relief from the pain was instantaneous.
After the session he took me through a couple of simple exercises - exercises that I could do even at work while sitting - to relax and straighten my back (I was also emailed the exercise routine in the form of a pdf). He also set up a follow-up session to take me through a few extra exercises.
The best part - we were able to identify the problem! Temperatures drop in Bangalore significantly at night and for people who sleep on their sides under a ceiling fan - this could spell trouble. The muscles jam up and lock segments of the back bone. Since then I have made specific changes (thicker cover and slower fan speed) to counter this issue.
The exercises have also helped me in maintaining a proper posture. The pain has thankfully not resurfaced.
I want to highlight one other point. Most doctors take the patient's time for granted. And while there can be situations (medical emergencies, surgeries, etc) which are unavoidable, a lot of doctors make flimsy excuses for their lack of punctuality. For our second session Dr Prathap was running late by about ten minutes. He informed me about this delay well in advance via SMS. I have never seen this happen before. His respect for his patient's time is admirable. I wish more doctors made the effort to be punctual.
I would highly recommend Dr Prathap to anyone suffering from back, neck and shoulder pain issues.

Feedback:Mr.Prem --> Backbone of Atlas Chiropractic Clinic. His efficiency of handling patients and treating customers is remarkable. A very sweet person with a loving nature who is also conscious about his health as seen from his Water Bottle :) Whenever I have had a query or requirement, Prem has been the man for me. Whether it's to guide first time patients to the clinic, or to create, cancel or reschedule appointments or his daily weather predictions - Prem has always brought a smile to every patient in the clinic. His hard working nature coupled with willingness to help others has everyone admiring him. Lovely to interact with him every single time.Dr.Ritika and Dr.Raheesa --> Physiotherapists to the rescue. The Right and Left Hands of the Clinic. Dr.Ritika and Dr.Raheesa have always been present to help their patients with their soul and heart. In all my sessions with them, they have made sure to take extreme care and gently exercised their treatment plans upon me. ****** ************* *** efficient with their work, they have always understood the problems and pain points of their patients and gone about the treatment step by step. They have explained the issues to their patients gently and worked their way towards building a great bond with them. Their patience with their patients is truly remarkable. Dr.Prathap --> The Brain of the Clinic and a gem of a person. I've been visiting Dr.Prathap since almost a year now, initially for a treatment plan and then maintenance henceforth. I was greatly impressed by the class and professionalism of Dr.Prathap. His vast magnitude and grasp of Chiropractics and mastery of the field made me very comfortable with him since the beginning. I had known about Chiropractics since a long time but had never undergone the treatment for the same. Without a doubt, I was nervous about the layman's understanding of "Bone cracking" technique. Dr.Prathap gently explains everything he does and the alignment process that he aims to achieve with everyone. I soon got accustomed to him and have never looked at a second opinion or doctor ever since. ** ****** **** *** ** *** **** ************ ******* ** ****** Dr.Prathap maintains a very joyful attitude with all his patients and I look forward to meeting him every single time. I've seen his clinic grow in the number of patients and staff members, I have seen him transform from a bachelor to a married man and I have lived a tourist's life in Kenya through his travel experience. I share a very special bond with Dr.Prathap and his helping attitude and serving nature makes him an excellent doctor and an ever better human being. My journey with Dr.Prathap, Dr.Ritika, Dr.Raheesa and Mr.Prem has been nothing short of magical. They have helped me relieve my pain, cracked jokes and shared experiences, made me a part of their lives and have become a big part of mine. I wish them all the best and success and hope to see them grow beyond limits defined.Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart :)

He is gentle and yet extremely effective with his spinal corrections. I felt so much better after my session.
I am 23 and working. I try to maitain a healthy lifestyle and do my workouts daily. A few months back in february I injured my back while performing deadlifts. I had to lie down on the floor for 2 hours as I couldn’t move a muscle due to the immense pain that occurred throughout my back and after I stayed in bed for 2 days.
I had a brief information about what a chiropractor does and so I was very keen to try it out. And am I glad about making that decision to see “Dr. Prathap”? By far the best intuitive decision I have taken in my life. Following points are what my MRI report says about my back injurie(s):-
• Reduction in vertical height of D11 vertebra with anterior wedging. Old benign partial vertebral collapse.
• Degenerative end plate changes noted at D7 to L1, L2, L3 Vertebral levels.
• Degenerated L2 -L3, L3-L4 and L4-L5 show diffuse disk bulge compressing ventral thecal sac & bilateral traversing exiting nerve roots with partial bilateral lateral recess stenosis.
The points above are copied & pasted from my reports and I don’t understand any of those. All I know is that I was in agony during that time. So, when I called in to book an appointment he was fully booked for the coming days but luckily I got an appointment as someone else cancelled (bless that person). And thank you to the guy who schedules all his appointments, ‘Prem’. In my very first session with him I got a feeling of confidence that I will make it through this injury and that was because he implements his knowledge with a unique set of skills which takes years to master. He has the knowledge of how every single particle and muscle in your spine functions and we all know ‘knowledge is power’. I have had 5 sessions with him since that day and I am back to my 95% fitness and daily exercise routines with absolutly no signs of my injuries at all. There’s definitely no magic here but the amount of hard work he puts in to understand his patience’s and their injury is nearly magical. I had problems along the way while I was recovering but he supported me with every piece of information that helped me speed me recovery. He did his part and gave his 100% towards my injury but I could only recover because I wanted to be fit again and followed the exercises he told me to do as my homework. You have to work as hard as he does to overcome your problems as it’s not magic but a combination of “knowledge & hard work” that leads to ‘WELLNESS’. Apart from all this Dr. Prathap is a wonderful being to know and even if I am 100% fit, I would still go and visit him.
For anyone reading this can contact me and I can talk about my injuries and how well he treated them all day long. If you suffer from these kinds of injuries than take my word there’s no one better I and many other people can suggest.
Thank you & take care guys.

I was quite intrigued when I was told that there are doctors who are specialised in “spinal” adjustments! In today’s world of internet, a word of mouth is rare and something that I pay attention to and truly appreciate which is why I pushed myself to book an appointment with Dr Prathap.
While I waited outside his clinic, with a little hope in my heart and a huge rush of thoughts in my head – 4 years of struggle with my lower back with frequent numbness in my leg, having met almost all kinds of practitioners/therapists in Bangalore & Chennai and nothing really working in favor of my health, I was skeptical if at all there was any magic awaiting inside that room! *** ****** ****** **** *** ******* *** *** **** *** *** * **** ******* ********** ** ** ***** *** ** *** **** ******* * **** **** ***** ******* ** ** *** **** ****** *** ********* ** ** ***** ** ****** ********* ** ****** ***** ******** **** ** ****** *** ****** *** ** *** ** ****** ******* ******** **** ** *** **** *** ***** ****** In the very first session, he spent a considerable amount of time to understand my concerns and made efforts to explain his thoughts on each of my health issues. That day, I remember as I walked out of his room, the myths around lower back injuries, deeply fed into my brain were nearly wiped off and I had a sense that this doctor is indeed different.
I religiously followed the 12-session treatment plan that he etched out for me and I have to mention that I am nearly perfect today. I was so used to doctors telling me what I shouldn’t be doing and that always included that things I loved to do but Dr Prathap made a difference, he is the first doctor who said I should continue to do the things that I love and that’s what will help me heal mentally and physically. Also, not only has he helped me with the lower back but also the TMJ disorder that I have been struggling with for the last five years. It is pretty awesome that I have not been down with a migraine attack for the last 2 months and that I sleep like a baby without popping sleep inducers & muscle relaxants!!! *** ******* *** **** *********** ** **** **** ********* compassionate and approachable.
I write this review today because I want people out there to know that here is a doctor with “healing hands” who has a solution to make people lead better lives than yesterday or today.
