Dr Karthik is the Director of Vascular & Interventional Radiology at MIOT Hospitals International in Chennai, India. He earned his medical degree from the prestigious Madras Medical College in India and completed his post graduate training in the UK, where he obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) as well as fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2007. After completing his certificate of specialist training (CCST) in 2010, he embarked on a 1 year Fellowship in Vascular & Interventional Radiology at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, USA. Following this, he worked as a Consultant interventional radiologist in the NHS, UK for 2 years before relocating to Singapore where he worked at the Singapore General Hospital for 6 years. Dr Karthik was instrumental in setting interventional radiology services at Sengkang General Hospital in Singapore where he worked for 2 years as the Clinical Lead for Interventional radiology before moving back to his native homeland in Chennai in 2020. He has now joined MIOT Hospitals International in Chennai which is a quartenary care hospital with 900 beds. The radiology department in MIOT is a busy department performing over 100 CTs and 100 MRIs every day. He has a special interest in cross sectional imaging and also leads the interventional radiology services there.Dr Karthik has published more than 25 research articles in leading peer reviewed journals and has also given talks at several international conferences.
