Dr. Jayanth Vijayakumar

Dr. Jayanth Vijayakumar is a General Surgeon & qualified vascular and endovascular surgeon. He holds a rich 10 years experience in the field of general surgery and over 6 years of the experience in the division of vascular and endovascular surgery at two university hospitals. He did MBBS in the year 2001. He started his career as a general & laparoscopic surgeon in the year 2008. His passion and focus have always been on “Quality Patient Care”. This lead him to research and publication. His research in the field of cancer ( breast cancer patients) was published in the “ International Journal of Recent Trends in Science and Technology”. His focus turned to vascular surgery very early during his general surgical residency. He chased his dream and went on to become one of India’s youngest vascular & endovascular surgeons. He was also the university gold medallist at Madras Medical College, where he qualified and was awarded the prestigious vascular Alumni gold medal in the year 2015. His innovation and novelty in the field of vascular surgery were a great success with a new technique of “ Duplex Guided Angioplasty & Stenting” for renal compromise patients was published in a medical journal. He was trained in kidney and pancreas transplantation in 2015 at Seoul, Korea and is now focussing on pediatric solid organ transplantation. He now continues the good work as assistant professor of vascular surgery at Madras Medical College & RGGGH. He heads the division of vascular surgery at Laser & Laparoscopic Hospital, T Nagar and shows a lot of promise in the field of surgery.
