My Wife had cataract in both eyes. We consulted Dr.Uma Ramesh Mam and She has done surgery for both eyes one by one,as requested.My Wife is able to see well and no post surgery issues and all. We remember the doctor's utmost care and attention to us and her explanations and advices were very helpful and put us free from of eyesight problems. She is very courteous and easily approachable to guide us when had some doubts and has attended us frequently after surgery to get checked eyes healing. We are senior citizens and my wife is a kidney patient going through dialysis every other day. As her eyesight became weaker I was looking for an Ophthalmologist and found Dr.Uma through Google reference. From day one she has been very helpful and explained in greater detail what needs to be done for my wife. Accommodating my wife's condition she planned the cataract surgery for both eyes within a matter of 10 days and the whole treatment was carried out by her seamlessly taking care of our needs from A to Z. Even after the surgery, her follow up was excellent and very reassuring. It is our good fortune that we managed to find such a qualified and patient-friendly doctor. We came to consult for my mother's glaucoma treatment. After getting tossed up with few drs in the city, landed up here at the right time. My mum almost got to depression after having painful laser treatment and mis leading pathetic treatment. Definitely Dr. Uma is God sent angel and while we came here without any time delay Dr. Uma mam started the treatment the very first day we consulted her. She had performed the most critical surgery trabeculectomy with mitomycin c.we never felt this much ease and comfortable with any drs. My mum who was refusing for surgery before felt she was in safe hands,accepted for surgery and felt more positive with Dr.uma's comforting words and pacifying nature. Also she spent more time with the patient clearly explaining the course of treatment. Without her strengthening words of hope we would have never proceeded for surgery. Our heart felt immense gratitude to Dr.Uma for guiding us with the right treatment care.

I had redness of eye and fixed video consultation appointment on Practo with this doctor. She did not join video and instead did normal audio call, spoke in rushed manner and asked to share pictures of my eyes. (I needed help urgently as I have newborn at home.)

Based on that she prescribed eye drops over chat. No proper prescription was shared.

I have called Dr Uma again and asked for medicine for viral conjunctivitis. She told rudely that she cannot give medicines based on another doctor’s opinion. I understand her point. But she only gave me option to travel to her clinic which is far away and I cannot leave back baby. She could have at least come on video call again and checked my symptoms. Doctor is not at all friendly and not trying to help the patient. I don’t recommend her to anyone.

Which I never availed. Infact I met doctor in person at her clinic. And she is demanding additional 500 rs, which I had to pay and she says practo doesn't pay anything out of 749rs.Sad, I have to explain doctor why I have to pay 749rs.She returned 500rs cash, which I paid to her in hand.Maybe it's a mistake made by doctor or staff. But just call them and explain your stand.

I'm a 24 year old doctor, I was having floaters and headache from time to time when I was 21 I had a fundus examination done and I was told it's just due to lack of sleep and stress. Fast forward to 2022 I was working in the Ophthalmology department when a resident pointed out I've features of Glaucoma. I visited an ophthalmologist did pachymetry, perimetry and the entire screening process to be told that I'm just a glaucoma suspect and I needn't start any medication. I visited the HOD of the District Government Hospital of my district who also said that I'm being finicky with this and I should let it be , just periodic check ups would do but I was not convinced.

I'm young with no known case of glaucoma in my family , my optic disc measurement is not within the normal range and my IOP is high I need to to do something about this , that's when I came across Dr.Uma Ramesh , she her checked my IOP and found it was around 26 in the right eye she uses only gold standard instruments and follows protocol to the T . She pacified me and eased me into my diagnosis. I felt reassured and I knew I was with an actual subject expert.

She had put me on eye drops for two months followed by a YAG laser iridotomy . I constantly communicate with her when I have doubts . I'm extremely grateful for her timely intervention and her prompt health education to me and my parents. We need more doctors like her who combine knowledge , experience and empathy .

My mother underwent cataract surgery 6 years ago. She had severe eye pressure and-10 in both eyes. Not even big hospitals were willing to do surgery. Only Dr. Uma Ramesh advised to proceed with the surgery and assured to bring back the vision to the maximum.
