Dr. A.Sethuramashankaran has 18 years of work experience as Diabetologist & General Physician in Chennai. Started as senior resident/research assistant in Diabetology at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, worked with Dr. V. Seshiah and Dr. V. Balaji as their registrar at Apollo Hospitals, Greams road, Chennai. Expertise in handling all diabetes related complications like diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperglycemic hyperosmolar state, septicemia secondary to diabetic cellulitis, diabetic foot, other infections/emergencies complicating diabetes, gestational diabetes and diabetes complicating pregnancy, etc. Piloted the study on Gestational Diabetes Mellitus in Tamil Nadu, in both urban and rural settings supported by World Diabetes Foundation and implemented by Dr. V. Seshiah Diabetic Care Centre, Chennai. Currently continuing to work as a Consultant Diabetologist in K. V. T.Speciality Hospitals(80 bedded multispeciality hospital), Erukkanchery, Chennai and with Aakash Hospital, Aaditya Infertility Centre (100 plus bedded multispeciality hospital), Thiruvottiyur, Chennai. Working as visiting consultant diabetologist in K. V. T. Health Centre, Moolakadai; N. M. Fertility Centre, Madhavaram, Durga Nursing Home & RS Hospital, Kannadasan Nagar and Nallam Hospital in M. K. B. Nagar.
