Dr. Saravanan Vedhagiri

Dr.Saravanan is the founder of Girishwari Hospital. He is the consulting general, laparoscopic and bariatric surgeon at the hospital. Dr.Saravaran comes with a rich background in general and laparoscopic surgeries across various specialities including gastro-intestinal and gynaecology. Laparoscopic bariatric surgery being his key area of interest makes Girishwari one of the few hospitals in Chennai offering surgical treatment for obesity. He is an MBBS, M.S from Stanley Medical College. He is also a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons. He is a member of the Indian Medical Council and Tamil Nadu Medical Council. He is also a Member of Association of Surgeons of India, Member of Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India and a Member of Indian Medical Association of India. Dr.Saravanan heads the Indian Medical Association – Chennai South Branch as an Honorary Secretary and organizes continuing medical education programmes for general practitioners and specialists.
