Dr. G. Ravichandran had his formal medical schooling (M.B.B.S., 1974- 80) in Madras Medical College, one of the reputed institutes of the country. He then pursued his interest in the field of dermatology as a diploma holder (1982-84) and completed his Master degree (1987-89) in the same intitute under the legendary guidance of Prof. A.S.Thambaiah and Prof. Patrick Yesudian along with eminent team of dermatologists. He had his special training in Dermatosurgery under the mentorship of Prof.P.N.Behl in the Skin institute, New Delhi in 1985. Inspired by the surgical techniques of Vitiligo he channelized his efforts in vitiligo surgery and has performed more than 2000 surgeries till now. He has tried many newer melanocyte transplant techniques and formulated his own theurapeutic approach with good success rate. He has many awards and honors for his academic and surgical excellence.

My mother had severe itching for past 6 months. We tried everywhere in jhansi(up) but didn’t get much relief. When it got severe i brought my mother in Chennai apollo as i am working near chennai. Here i met doctor ravichandran G
When he saw first time hardly he given time of 5 minutes. I told him please do not take it lightly thinking normal itching as we have tried around 6-7 doctors in our area but didn’t get relief. He saw some old reports and based on it written few medicine ********** *** and one lotion and prescribed one test named ige total . *** *** ** ***** **** ******* * ********** **** ***** * **** **** ** ****. That day was Saturday and we have to wait for monday to show the report. Those 2 days we didn’t get relief even 1% and it was hard to wait for monday. Report came normal and he saw the rashes and added one medicine ** *** ********** * we got relief little bit *** ***** **** *** ***** ** ********* *** *** ******* ***** **** *** **** ********. Again we taken online appointment and paid 2000 fee and the call ended in 4 minute. ( i was not happy at all as we are paying you this much *** *** ******** **** ***** he has asked to stopped ********* and written new medicine * ****** ***** *** ********** *** after 20 days of continuous taking these medicines she got relief ( not completely still itching happening in scalp) but when the medicine was over again she started itching and this time **** **** ****** *** ********* We again came to chennai and booked appointment this time he prescribed test **** *** * urine routine and crp. He found ana positive and suggested us that this is the case of autoimmune diseases (rheumatology) and he referred us to meet dr padmanbhan R. I was not given an opportunity to explain my problems or ask questions. I consulted Dr. Ravichandran, Dermatologist on 11.07.2014 at as per his directions my localized soriasis cured within a month. The same was earlier not cured even after using homeopati & other skin doctors' priscriptions. Now today after a gap of 3 years again I got different skin problem and I am excited to see him only for curing the same.
