Since then he has been working in Santosham Chest Hospital and Apollo Hospital and as a visiting consultant in various other Hospitals in the city. He is one of the few surgeons in India who are doing major Lung Surgeries through a single port 3cm incision. He has attended various workshops in Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS) and Robotics and various other latest innovations in Thoracic Surgery like LASER in parts of Asia, North America and Europe.His special interests are in VATS ( Key Hole Lung & Chest Surgery ), Tracheal Surgery & Mediastinal surgery. I am so happy with the medical treatment that was done on me at Apollo Main Hospital,Chennai under the care of Dr. Rajiv Santosham.Before meeting Dr.Rajiv, I was really anxious but after the consultation with him I was relieved.He explained clearly about my disease and also the course of treatment.He is humble and a cool doctor.I met his father Dr. Rajan Santosham as well. His father is also a Senior Cardio Thoracic Surgeon. He can be consulted at Santosham Chest Hospital.His father also explained about my diseases very clearly pre and post surgery.
My surgery was successfully done on 4th Dec, 2024.
As of today, I am recovering really well.I had my recheckup done 1 month post surgery and all of my reports are good.
Apart from this, nurses and the medical staffs of the Apollo Main were also very helpful and kind.

The entire atmosphere in the hospital made me feel at ease. I had gone there with my daughter. My cholesterol level was high and I was feeling nausea and breathless. The reception treated me good care and an OP doctor checked my thoroughly before doctor rajiv.
Dr. Rajiv was very attentive to my discomfort.
He had prescribed me medications for a month and advised me to come back after that.
