Dr. Ramakrishnan

Dr. Ramakrishnan is an ENT surgeon in Chennai with 16 years of experience, practising at Vaishnavi Clinic in Chromepet and Kundrathur, which he has run since 2009, and consulting at The Capstone Clinic in Nungambakkam and MGM Healthcare Malar Hospitals in Adyar. He completed his MBBS at Chengalpattu Medical College in 2000 and an MS in ENT at Command Hospital Air Force, Bangalore, in 2009, together with a DNB in Otorhinolaryngology the same year. He is registered with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council, secured second rank in MS ENT at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, and won second prize for best poster at the AFMC ENT conference.He served as medical officer in the Army Medical Corps, trained as postgraduate resident at Command Hospital Air Force and senior resident in ENT at SRM University, and was associate professor at SRM Medical College and Hospital from 2009 to 2020. He is a member of the Indian Medical Association and the Association of Otolaryngologists of India, Chennai.His ear surgery covers tympanoplasty and eardrum repair, ossiculoplasty, reconstructive middle ear surgery, surgery of the facial nerve, congenital ear problems, ear reconstruction and otoplasty, with hearing assessment, hearing aid fitting and ear wax removal. For the nose he performs septoplasty and nasal polypectomy and treats nosebleeds and nasal and sinus allergies, and his throat and neck work includes tonsillectomy, tongue tie release, cyst excision, head and neck tumour surgery and removal of foreign bodies from the ear, nose and throat.
