It was a good experience and friendly doctor. He asked about the problem and explained clearly and neatly. Gave the medicine according to my problem.

1) The diagnosis was Accurate but the Doctor follows unethical practices.
2)He himself gave me medicines and included it in the bill. I feel this is wrong as he does not have any knowledge of the cash we have in hand or we could get the same medicines at a pharmacy at a good discount of 15%.
3)He sold me a sample copy of a pain reliever ointment(given by the medicine company) which was not meant to be sold.
4) He does not prescribe the best medicines. He only prescribes the medicines that he has in stock at his clinic. He prescribed me a tablet which he had with him. And later his compounder brought a new stock of medicines, he simply swapped that tablet with the new medicine that had arrived and said that this was more effective. My question is why was this not prescribed in the first place. This is bad from a doctor as he tried to sell me a sub- standard medicine because he only had that in stock instead of giving me the best medicine for my problem
4) He does not provide a break up of the bill. I calculated the price myself and I ended up paying about Rs.50 more (even after including the sample copy ointment )

I visited the Dr. for my shoulder and arm pain.being old by 76 years ,he immediately Advised to see a Cardialist with ECG.I did it and Contacted my Dr. who is a Urologist with whom I had consultation for for a possible stone in Kidney.He suggested Dr.Muthukumaran and Dr. Durga Devi who regularly visit Prashant Hospitals Velachery.This led me to do Angiography and early detection of a blockage . Fortunately not much of problems and I am on medication now.I really thank Dr. Premkumar for his advice.
