She excels in minimal invasive surgery /laparoscopic hysterectomy which is the minimal invasive route surgery for removal of uterus /laparoscopic myomectomy which is laparoscopic removal of fibroids in the uterus /laparoscopic ovarian cyst removal and other skilled surgeries .The advantage of laparoscopic surgery is early recovery , discharge from hospital in one day, less pain less risk of hernia, early return to normal day today activities . Dr Priyanka Mehta completed the very prestigious MRCOG degree with laurels from THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF OBSTETRICIANS AND GYNAECOLOGISTS , LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM and got first hand experience of working in the NHS system in the United Kingdom during her observership in UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS. Fitness is a state of mind and has to be a part and parcel of our living. Dr. Priyanka encourages patients to Get Fit and Get Going at their own pace and never to give up on their fitness regime. She herself is a big fan of yoga as a holistic method to smoothen and strengthen mind and body and makes time also for regular Zumba classes too. It can be something that you enjoy that helps to increase the overall happiness in your life, as well as relieve symptoms of stress, depression, and anxiety.In today’s fast paced world with there is a flood of lifestyle diseases like polycystic ovarian disease infertility, gestational diabetes (diabetes during pregnancy) and even cancer of the uterus all linked to obesity.Dr. Priyanka conducts regular classes in liaison with a fitness center exclusively for women and their partners called Pregnancy and Beyond which is attended by women planning to conceive, those who are pregnant and also post pregnancy.She is an active member of the OGSSI Obgyn Society of Southern India which takes lead in many health awareness programs. She has also been part of FM radio shows spreading her views on important health issues like “Motherhood AT 30 ‘’ and “Menstrual Taboos“ She regularly attends boot camps conducted at marina and Besant Nagar beach which is the best start to the day and week according to her She also conducts regular camps at her wellness clinic to screen for common health conditions like Thyroid Diseases Diabetes Hypertension and Anaemia. She also conducts regular meetings and seminars at various colleges and corporate offices emphasizing on heath awareness and stress management. Prevention is better than cure is her motto and her dream is a nation where health and wellness are accessible to all.
