Dr. P. Lakshmi Priyaa is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with qualifications including M.B.B.S., M.S. in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and FMAS. She has clinical experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, with particular experience in high-risk pregnancy, emergency obstetrics and gynaecological laparoscopic surgery.She completed her M.B.B.S. at Stanley Medical College, Chennai, under Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Tamil Nadu, followed by her M.D./M.S. in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Government Theni Medical College, and DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology through the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences. She completed FMAS through AMASI in 2024.She worked as a Junior Resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Government Theni Medical College for three years, followed by two years as Senior Resident at Government Pudukkottai Medical College. She subsequently worked as Junior Consultant at Aakash Hospital, Chennai for nine months. She has also undergone training in gynaecological laparoscopy at Aakash Hospital and assisted in more than 100 laparoscopic surgeries, including advanced endometriotic resection surgeries, pelvic floor surgeries and Burch colposuspension.Her clinical experience includes obstetric and gynaecological care, management of high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies, and laparoscopic gynaecological surgery. She has attended hands-on training in hysteroscopy, safe caesarean techniques and PPH management, ART, gynaecological oncology and preeclampsia.Her academic work includes a dissertation on “Echo Findings in Severe Pre Eclampsia and Their Maternal and Fetal Outcomes”. She has presented posters, papers, e-posters and video posters at national and international conferences, including AICOG, FOGSI and specialty meetings.
